It’s an exciting time at Park Avenue Armory as we move ahead on the exterior restoration of this important landmark building. In 2010 we completed the restoration of the Lexington Avenue façade and our friends and neighbors are very happy with the dramatic improvement. We are thrilled to announce that we are currently embarking on our next phase of work to restore the Park Avenue masonry, replace the leaking mansard roof with new copper roofing, and to restore the entire 1879 cast iron fence. Beginning early September 2011 scaffolding will be erected on the Park Avenue end of the Armory, extending around the north and south corners as part of this work. The project is estimated to reach completion in the fall of 2012.

As always, Park Avenue Armory will maintain its work sites in a clean and safe manner.
