Individual Giving Coordinator

Part American palace, part industrial shed, Park Avenue Armory is dedicated to supporting unconventional works in the visual and performing arts that need non-traditional spaces for their full realization, enabling artists to create and audiences to experience epic and adventurous presentations that cannot be mounted elsewhere in New York City.

Individual Giving Coordinator:
The Individual Giving Coordinator provides front-line support for the annual fund and three membership donor groups: the Avant-Garde (young patrons $350 to $2,500), general membership ($100-$1,000), and the Chairman’s Circle ($2,500-$10,000). The Coordinator is a member of the Individual Giving team, which raises over $3 million annually. Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Coordinator will interface internally and externally with a constituency of arts enthusiasts as part of a dynamic fundraising team.

Responsibilities and Objectives:
• Assist the Director of Individual Giving and the Manager of Individual Giving in the overall fundraising goals for individual donors.
• Take the lead on fundraising activities for the general membership and young patron programs including renewal and new member acquisition activities, benefit fulfillment, and event planning.
• Donor correspondence including answering membership phone line, responding to donor questions in a timely and professional manner, VIP ticketing, drafting membership renewal mailings and emails, and preparing acknowledgments.
• Develop and implement digital fundraising strategies for the annual fund.
• Member of the wider development team which requires ongoing activities such as coordinating invitation lists and mailings, taking RSVPs, tracking attendance, event bios, working events, staffing patron table during performances, and other duties as needed.
• Providing research support and database management in Tessitura to the Individual Giving area overall.
• Various other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Ideal candidates will be highly organized, motivated, high-energy, detail-oriented self-starters who work well within a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Tessitura experience is a big plus. Evening and weekend work is required.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Please provide salary requirements with your application.
