Originally published in ESSENCE Magazine in 1984, a conversation between iconic Black thinkers James Baldwin and Audre Lorde about shared and divergent gendered histories between Black men and women continues to remain relevant today. Inspired by this groundbreaking dialogue, Claudia Rankine is joined by other poets, artists, and creators to reflect on the hidden conversations that animate our fragile democracy.
Co-presented with the National Black Theatre.
