On the evenings of Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8 a lineup of DJs—curated by artist, scholar, and DJ madison moore and SLINK, the NYC-based record label and event series—will spin for audiences in the Armory’s Wade Thompson Drill Hall. These sets will take place within a club architecture created for the Drill Hall as part of the Armory’s upcoming presentation of the experiential dance and music production R.O.S.E.

SLINK is an event series and record label run by residents rrao, Enayet, K Wata, and Simisea. Since 2019, they’ve built a reputation for forward-thinking club nights, DJ sets, and releases, often featuring blends of off-kilter sound design and dancefloor-focused rhythms. Their rave at the Armory will feature a live drum and bass performance by Currency Audio, and a live set of original music from rising experimental artist Laenz. SLINK residents Enayet, rrao, and Simisea will be rounding out the night with back-to-back DJ sets.

STUNT QUEEN!!! is a performance art rave blending house music, techno, disco, fashion, and performance poetry. Celebrating some of the most dynamic Black DJs, artists, and producers working in contemporary club music, it highlights the urgency to make space for Black queer nightlife. Curated by madison moore and hosted by Xander Aviance, the rave includes a set by TYGAPAW and back-to-back DJ sets by moore, Kilopatrah Jones, and MORENXXX with a poetry reading by Abdu Mongo Ali.
